The beauty of grace is that it makes life not fair

And that's such a deep quote, totally doesn't match the up-beat tempo of the song it comes from, lol. But I like the song anyway.

(Reliant K, Be My Escape, btw)

So, alrighty. What I just worked on: Okay, Willy Wonka opens on Friday, but as we're down to just tech & house managing, I feel almost done. It doesn't hurt that my mind is several projects ahead of the show, either.

Working on for next: The church I attend does this HUGE outdoor Bethlehem thing every year, and I do mean HUGE - camels and everything. Anyway, one part of the performance is the three kings, and for a couple minutes their dancing girls perform. Usually the church hires a professional dancer to be front and center (as it were) and whatever volunteer dancers do the background stuff, and dance with the audience near the end. Well this year scfbc is strapped for cash, and can't afford to hire Hala back. So I'm one of the three featured dancers, and I'm helping them choreograph the new dance to their old music. (Which is doubly fun because, two years back, they asked me to come up with a folk dance for the market-goers to perform. They get to dance it about twice before the roman guards come stomping through; I love it. I just wish I could see it, and dance outside, lol)

Also currently working on for next: Foothill Dance is doing another winter open house, and I think I want to do a solo to Come Save by Sarah Reeves. It's kinda long for one person to do the whole thing, so I'll have to cut it a bit; hard to do as I like everything in the song. :(

On the topic of picture things, a CERTAIN PERSON managed to kill my camera's system somehow, so it may be a while until I take another photography outing. We'll see.

QUESTION: FAVORITE HOLIDAY OF THE YEAR, AND WHY?

Kon ban wa, minna! O genki desu ka?

  • Eating: Chips
  • Drinking: Frappuccinos
Forgive the horrible attempt at Japanese in the title; my dad give me a little mp3 player he'd filled with language-teaching podcasts, and I'm practicing so I can inflict the horribleness on him when he gets home.

So I'm bad at writing journal entries - really, really bad. I haven't updated my livejournal for like three years. I'm totally afraid to jump back in now, lol.

Therefore, I think I'll post a question here. I'll remember to check back once in a great while, and once someone's replied, I'll post a new one, along with what I just was/am now/will be working on. Could prove interesting :)

Last thing I worked on was the Foothill Dance spring show - I had a solo, and I choreographed a small group number. I'm hoping to get more people for a bigger & better dance next year. And then, to keep me crazy busy, my cousin's wedding was the week after. It was perfect for the two of them ^^

Right now, another week after, the theatre where I work has performances of the 6 to 13-year-olds' show. They're going to cause me grey hairs, I swear it.

Next, after a one week break, our Summer show starts up, so we'll be crazy busy prepping for that. And after I'll get to visit my cousin and her husband in Colorado. Vacation ho!

QUESTION: AT CONVENTIONS, COSPLAY OR NO, AND WHY?
